In an important study, COVID19 was shown to damage the dendritic cells that are critical to defending against viral infection for at least 7-months after infection with CODIV19. The study has important implications since currently there is concern about why there is an increased incidence of strep A and scarlet fever in the UK with more associated deaths and in the US and Canada with hospitals in some regions approaching capacity with pediatric cases of flu, RSV and COVID19.
