In a suit filed today in Little Rock AR, 47-year old mother Janette Cook was to undergo knee surgery but instead she was anesthetized to death. In the pre-op waiting area, Ms. Cook was given sedation prior to the surgery then the staff left. Thirty minutes later she is moved to the operating room, but when she was being lifted onto the operating room table someone noticed the was dead. In fact, she had been dead so long that no one even bothered to perform CPR. Suit was filed against St. Vincent Health System and various personnel there by Ms. Cook's family.
