Last Month, USDOT released an update of its Large Truck and Bus Crash facts, analyzing the pertinent data and related safety issues from 2017 data. The study reveals an increase in large truck involvement in fatal crashes of 9% from the previous year, and an increase of 5% in injury crashes from the previous year. Buses involved in fatal crashes decreased by 1% over the same timeframe. In Texas, there were 621 fatal crashes involving large trucks. In Arkansas, 84, and in Oklahoma, 131.
