Journal of Quality and Safety in Healthcare cites ongoing patient safety problems
The Journal of Quality and Safety in healthcare published a disturbing study last month revealing that the rate of adverse events is not going down but in some instances is increasing. The study suggests a part of the problem is the lack of resources committed to patient safety. The study can be found at Baines RJ, Langelaan M, de Bruijne MC, et al. Quality and Safety in Health Care 2013;22: 290–298.
